Writer’s Chronicle is currently accepting submissions from writers on a variety of topics. They are the official publication for The Association of Writers and Writing Professionals (AWP). The annual AWP conference attracts tens of thousands of writers every year.
They are open to submissions from February 1st to September 30th.
This publication is sent to all members of AWP.
They publish interviews, essays on the craft of writing, essays on literary trends, “appreciations”, and news/feature stories. The allowed length varies depending on the article type. They pay $18 per 100 words. The maximum length they accept is 7,000 words. Which means they pay no more than $1,280 per publication.
To learn more, and to submit your writing, be sure to read their full submission guidelines.
If you haven’t considered attending the annual AWP conference before, I highly recommend it. They have many great lectures and panels. Plus, their is nothing quite like being surrounded by 20,000 other serious writers.
