Black Women Radicals is Accepting Essays and Creative Non-Fiction

Black Women Radicals is “a Black feminist advocacy organization dedicated to uplifting Black feminist leadership.” They’re celebrating “50 Years of the Combahee River Collective” with a call for abstracts for a special issue of their blog, VOICES IN MOVEMENT. GamesRadar+, a part of Future US Inc., is a website about games, movies, TV, and comics. Business Insider is Looking for Pitches from Parents

Business Insider covers business, personal finance, tech, lifestyle, politics, and more. Their senior editor is seeking “pitches from parents who send their kids on loooong (say 8 weeks?) sleep away camps in the summer.” They’re interested in “what it does to your relationship with your partner/spouse and with your kids.” Rate is $250. Trails is Always Open to Pitches

Trails is a quarterly, print-only magazine for “the backpacking and trail community.” They cover backpacking and other human or naturally-powered means of sleeping outdoors e.g. bikepacking, canoe camping, and even rafting or mountaineering. GrooveVolt is Seeking Pitches for their First Print Issue

GrooveVolt is a publication covering music, fashion, cultural commentary and more. They are launching their first print issue in September. Abid Haque recently Tweeted a call for pitches for this issue.  They want standalone evergreen pieces that speak to music trends, culture, technology, etc. They’re paying $75 to $500. Curbside Chronicle is “Oklahoma’s first and only street paper, employing and empowering people experiencing and transitioning out of homelessness in Oklahoma City.” Their editor is looking for pitches for their annual animal-themed issue: “Overlooked invertebrates, amazing creatures you oughta know or humans working hard to make life better for our winged and four-legged friends would be ideal.” They will pay at least $250 per story. Good Tape is Seeking Pitches for the Celebrity Issue

Good Tape is a print magazine that tells the podcast industry’s untold stories. They’re looking for pitches for their second issue which is focused on celebrities in podcasting. New Scientist is a weekly science and technology magazine. Their features editor is looking for feature pitches for their holiday issue.
