There are so many blogs out there that don’t require previous experience, or a portfolio. They simply want to publish good writing that fits their unique needs.

They are looking for submissions for their “grocery diaries” column. The purpose of the column is to show the readers how people across the United States spend money on food, drinks, groceries, snacks, etc. throughout the week. They pay $150 per diary. Details here.

In general, they are looking for stories that offer their “readers an inside look at movements and how they organize to build power.” They pay $150 for reported features (about 1,500 words) and $75 for breaking news (about 1,000 words).
