Planetizen is “a fiercely independent platform that creates, curates, and amplifies stories and resources to inform planning and people passionate about planning.” They’re always seeking feature article pitches that offer an expert lens to the key planning issues of today. The Break Down is Accepting Pitches and Submissions
The Break Down is “dedicated to examining how capitalism has both shaped, and is being reshaped by, accelerating climate and ecological crisis.” They’re accepting pitches and submissions for their first themed issue, which will “explore what Trump’s second term and the new right mean for the climate.” They’re interested in critical essays, reviews, and interviews. Johns Hopkins Magazine is Looking for Pitches
Johns Hopkins Magazine is a quarterly publication by The Johns Hopkins University. Their editor is seeking pitches: “Looking ahead to Summer and Fall 2025 stories for the magazine, and also online-only features (1,000 to 2,000 words). Antics is Open for Pitches
Antics is a quarterly music magazine. They have opened pitches for issue 3. Their editor-in-chief would love pitches on the following:
“- Rising rap artists
– Latin music of all genres
– NYC nightlife reports

Companion is Accepting Pitches for the ‘Community’ Issue
Companion is a new biannual print publication by GAIL’s Bakery in the United Kingdom. They explore “topics within food & drink, history, nature, sustainability, and craft.” They’re currently accepting pitches and submissions from around the world for their second issue, in which they will be “delving into the theme of ‘community’ – especially (but not exclusively) how it intersects with food.” Rates for creative pieces can go up to £500, while reported features are paid at £1.30 per word.
