Here’s a list of fifteen editors calling for pitches on a wide variety of topics.

Self covers health and wellness. They are always seeking new writers and are especially excited to work more frequently with BIPOC, LGBTQ+ writers and writers from other marginalized groups. They want stories that will help improve personal or public health. Their main categories of focus are health, fitness, food, beauty, love, and lifestyle. Business Insider is a website that covers business, financial, and technology news. They are seeking pitches from UK or Europe-based freelance journalists. They specifically want scoops, inside stories/investigations of companies, lists, exclusive data, and success stories and business tips. Their rates start at £150 per piece. Sisters From AARP is a weekly newsletter that celebrates Black women. They cover style, health, relationships, culture, work, money, and more. Computer Business Review (CBR) is a business technology publication that delivers IT news, interviews, and analysis on big data, Internet of Things (IoT), cloud, cybersecurity, and more. Their editor is “interested in hearing from established tech and business writers with a portfolio of strong stories aimed squarely at a C-suite audience.” Pay is about 40p per word. Elemental is a new health and wellness publication by Medium. Their deputy editor has tweeted, “I have a story meeting coming up, and would love to assign some ambitious and/or creative Covid-19 stories.” They will pay $1 per word for these pieces.   • Tier 2: $350 to $500 (800 to 1,200 words, 3 to 4 sources)
