nothing to say is an online literary journal of critical essays about what it means to be an artist in the 21st century. They also run a small press that has previously published poetry.
They’re also unique in another way: They advocate for the free copying and distribution of work, which means all of the essays they publish are distributed under a creative commons license, because they “believe that which can be copied without cost should not be arbitrarily made scarce for profit.”
They read submissions year round, and pay “a base-line rate of $200 for a typical article.” Most of the essays are 1,500 to 2,000 words. They ask for a pitch first, and not the complete essay.
