Writers! Here’s our latest roundup of opportunities to get paid to write. We’ve included calls for pitches directly from editors, and traditional jobs for writers.
Before pitching an editor, make sure you have a clear understanding of their needs, in addition to a clear understanding of their publication’s style, past content, and structure. Once you’ve done this groundwork, it’s time to come up with your article idea, and then send them a short email (a pitch), describing your idea, and why you’re a good fit to write it. Pitching articles is very different than applying for a job, which involves a cover letter and a resume.
